ARTIST SPOTLIGHT :Pastor Jason Nelson

Pastor Jason Nelson is a Baltimore City resident with (along with his wife, First Lady Tonya Nelson & there children Jaelyn and Jason Nelson) GOD & music in his heart, mind and soul. He pastors at Greater Bethlehem Temple Church located 8334 Liberty Road in Randallstown,Md 21244.





Pastor Jason Nelson, son of Bishop James D. Nelson, Sr. and Mother Bessie Nelson, grew up in Baltimore, MD with his three siblings: Janice, James, Jr., and his twin brother, Jonathan. As the son of a devoted Pastor, he cultivated his instrumental and vocal musical talents playing the bass and singing in the house of the Lord. He graduated from Baltimore School for the Arts and continued studying music at Morgan State University under the tutelage of the late Dr. Nathan Carter. In May 2005, he released his first praise and worship CD entitled “I Shall Live”.




He also has written songs for such people as Marvin Sapp which includes the hit single “Thirsty”. He is an accomplished songwriter who has GOD within his soul that co writes when songs come to him.Check out some of his songs. I am sure you will agree that these songs are to love but also to help you and your soul and will speak a word into your life.

I caught this song on the radio and turned it up and thought this was banging then and even listening to "Sunshine" today it still jams.Many dont know that this song was about her love for her son Jazz.This song enbodies real R&B.Have a listen.Did I mention it still jams...lol.Heres "Sunshine"

For many of you in the hip hop world when you mention New York hip hop you can’t NOT mention rapper Juelz Santana. Juelz Santana has made it know that his Skull Gang member Toby “Hynief”Raynor’s arrest which was early this week. This arrest was well publicized (and WE all know that once someone in hip hop does something the WORLD will know!
Well Juelz took to TWITTER and let his fans know what was going on. Santana tweeted Saturday (January 22) , "A! If it ant 1 thing it's another smh sorry to all the people in chi-town that came out last night I couldn't make It!! Trouble wit the law,". He also tweeted "A! @HYNIEFSKULLGANG bailed out#whoooaaaaa" (Juelz Santana's Twitter)
I’m not condoning what happened but I hope everything works out good for Hynief, we don’t need another rap artist in jail.

MARVIN SAPP AND BEBE & CECE WINANS BIG WINNERS AT 2011 STELLAR AWARDS

The 26th annual Stellar Awards was held Saturday in Nashville, Tenn at the Grand Ole Opry House and hosted by Donnie McClurkin.

Kirk Franklin received the Thomas A. Dorsey Most Notable Achievement Award; Vanessa Bell Armstrong, who received the ambassador Dr. Bobby Jones Legend Award; and Donald Lawrence, recipient of the James Cleveland Lifetime Achievement Award.It was a spectacular night.

Along with Marvin Sapp, BeBe and CeCe Winans took home 4 awards a piece. Marvin Sapp won Artist of The Year Award,CD of The Year, Traditional CD of The Year Award and Traditional Male Vocalist of The Year Award.

As stated in one of Marvin's winning speeches he thanked his wife who he had lost last year and his kids.Other big winners were J.moss who won Contemporary Male Vocalist of The Year,and BeBe Winans won for he and his sister CeCe Winanas,for writing "Close To You" Song Of The Year .
